TISSUE:HUMAN

tissue:human is the first duet in the tissue series co-created by Anamaria Bagarić and Tajda Podobnik. The work is grounded in the logic of biological organization:

cell → tissue → organ → system → organism
purpose → body → signal → movement → dance

The duet explores what is human through physical interaction, shared weight, resistance, and support. Movement is not a metaphor but the material itself — raw, continuous, and relational. The choreography draws on the properties of tissue: stretching, carrying, breaking, healing, and transforming, revealing how individuality and interdependence coexist within one living structure. tissue:human is a short-form dance performance (25’), with original music by Karmen Ponikvar.

The project is developing into a full-evening trilogy:
tissue:cell – tissue:human – tissue:collective,  premiering in 2026.
